Neil Lawrence — Director and producer
Based in Sydney, Neil is the founder of Lawrence Creative Strategy, as well as the Executive Creative Director of STW, Australia’s largest communications group.
He is best known for his work developing political campaigns, most notably the “Kevin07” Federal Election for the ALP and the election of Anna Bligh as Queensland Premier in 2009.
Neil first met Paulus Berensohn in 1979, when they were both living in San Diego, California.
To Spring From The Hand is his first documentary film.

Based in Sydney, Andrea is a critically acclaimed filmmaker and editor with over 20 years experience.
Her body of work includes countless one hour and feature length documentaries, recently including Scarlet Road, Three Boys Dreaming, Liberal Rule (co-director), End of the Rainbow, Soldiers of Peace, Landmines — A Love Story, and Cunnamulla.

Born in England, Jason is an award-winning cinematographer and director based in Sydney.
With over 20 years experience, he’s produced hundreds of television commercials, documentaries and short films. His work has been awarded at festivals worldwide, including Clio, Axis, MADC, ATV, AWARD, ACS, Worldwide Film Festival and the Cannes Lions.

Mark is a composer and the owner of Song Zu, a sound and music company based in Sydney and Singapore.
When he’s not locked in the studio, Mark keeps busy performing and composing. He has just completed the music for The Network, a new documentary from Eva Orner.

Jonathan Zwartz — composer
Jonathan is one of Australia’s leading jazz musicians. He has played double bass alongside American Jazz artists Pharaoh Sanders, Branford Marsalis, Chico Freeman, Andy Bey, Mark Murphy, Kurt Elling, Johnny Griffin, Barbara Morrison, Larry Golding and many more.

Locally, he has played and recorded with artists including Katie Noonan, Renee Geyer Vince Jones, Bernie McGann, Mike Nock, Dale Barlow, Sandy Evans, Steve Kilby and James Morrison.

In 2008, Jonathan released ‘The Sea,’ his debut record, featuring his original music, and recently his new album “ the remembering and forgetting of the air”, which has been used extensively in this film
